DRONE FLIGHT DEMOS
U-ELCOME partners INECO, Madrid Local Police and ENAIRE will carry out a demonstration of the European project U-Elcome of which they are part and which will allow, for the first time, to test the deployment of the U-space: the set of services and procedures which facilitate, in a regulated and coordinated way in Europe, a safe and efficient access to the airspace for a large number of UAS, as well as their coexistence with manned aircraft in certain airspaces. ENAIRE has been designated as the sole provider of common information services (CISP) in Spain, which is necessary for the provision of U-space services.
Apart from the flight demos, there will be a U-ELCOME Consortium Meeting with all the 51 partners from Italy, France and Spain.
The 3-year U-ELCOME Project, coordinated by EUROCONTROL with funding from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in cooperation with the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking has chosen industry expo Airspace World as the venue to show how an European project with 51 organisation involved, 15 Millions of Euros and 3 years duration supports at the same time the development of drone operations across Europe and the deployment of U1/U2 services and related operational procedures and infrastructures in 15 regions or cities in Spain, Italy and France.
This project has received funding from European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment
