The British Business General Aviation Association (BBGA) has taken another step toward fostering the next generation of aviation professionals. At its annual Christmas Drinks Reception, held at the Little Ship Club in London, BBGA proudly named Ben Newman, Group Business Development Manager at Inflite The Jet Centre, as the recipient of its 2024 Excellence in Aviation – Next Generation award. This accolade celebrates outstanding young professionals who bring fresh energy, innovation, and dedication to the business aviation industry.
A Rising Star in Aviation
Ben Newman’s journey to this prestigious award is both inspiring and a testament to his commitment to the aviation sector.
After serving seven years in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a Logistics Officer—experience that included a deployment to Afghanistan—Ben transitioned to civilian aviation. His work in the Civil Airhead Duties (CAD) Department based at Northolt brought him into contact with Inflite, The Jet Centre. Following his settlement placement with Inflite in September 2023, Ben quickly secured a permanent role as Group Business Development Manager.
Now, just over a year later, he leads Inflite’s Business Development Team, forging new customer relationships while nurturing existing ones. Ben’s proactive approach and enthusiasm have not gone unnoticed.
Industry Leaders Applaud Ben’s Achievements
Pauline Monksfield, CEO and Deputy Accountable Manager at Inflite, shared her praise:
“Since joining us nine months ago, Ben has demonstrated a remarkable ability to learn and adapt to the industry. His impact has been evident from day one, and we’re thrilled to support his continued growth.”
BBGA Chair Aoife O’Sullivan echoed this sentiment:
