Through its subsidiary IDS AirNav – a global leader in aeronautical information management systems – ENAV has signed a 2.15 million euro contract with the Brazilian service provider Comissão de Implantação do Sistema de Controle do Espaço Aéreo (CISCEA) for the modernization of the Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) systems.

The ENAV CEO Paolo Simioni stated: Brazil is a one of the most important customers among the 100 countries in which the ENAV Group operates with its aeronautical consulting services and the supply of advanced software systems for air traffic management. ENAV continues to strengthen its commercial presence in the high-tech supply for the Air Traffic Management thanks to a focused policy of investments in research and development and technical skills and the complete synergy of the Group companies.
The contract provides for the modernization of systems to validate flight instrumental procedures, to design routes and airspace, to manage aeronautical cartography and publish all the main data for air traffic control, such as NOTAMs (NOtice To AirMen ), necessary to communicate information useful for navigation, aircraft flight plans, cartography, weather data and all the flow of airport data and air navigation obstacles.
IDS AirNav will also provide new modules of the AIM system including the application for the distribution of aeronautical publication data and for the pre-flight bulletins management.
This new contract, which has a total duration of 24 months, will allow CISCEA to provide its air traffic services thanks to the support of a state-of-the-art technological system in the civil aviation industry.
