Through its subsidiary IDS AirNav – global leader in aeronautical information management systems – ENAV signed a 1 million euro contract with Airservices Australia (ASA), the Australian service provider for air navigation services. The contract foresees the modernization of the Aeronautical Information Management (AIM).
ENAV: contract with Airservice Australia
Paolo Simioni – ENAV CEO: ASA manages one of the largest airspaces in the world, therefore ENAV is pride to be such a strategic supplier for the evolution of Australia's aviation sector. The Far East is one of the main markets on which we have been focusing for some time. This contract demonstrates that the new unregulated business model, combined with investments in research and development and technical skills, is yielding excellent results despite the crisis in the sector due to the pandemic.
IDS AirNav will provide the advanced modules of the AIM system related to the electronic aeronautical publication (IDS AirNav WePub system) and the Integrated Aeronautical Charting based on GIS Technology (IDS AirNav ICE system).
This new contract, which has a total duration of 30 months, will allow Airservices Australia to significantly increase the efficiency of the publication/charting process through the standardization of the AIP content in accordance with ICAO standard, and represents a significant enabler for future capability increase.
